That’s why we’ve decided to celebrate YOU.  Each month we will be featuring a Fan of the Month and give you a chance to hear from each other on what it is that drives you to be a part of Shining Light International.

Let us introduce you to: Chris and Denise Locke

How did you first hear about SLI?

As teachers, we first heard of an opportunity to go and volunteer to serve in 2005. We were then blessed to go and work with Shining Light teaching English classes and working in their after school program.

What do you love about SLI?

We love the vision of Shining Light to bring education to both boys and girls in the Northern areas of Pakistan. Serving children from all backgrounds.

What upcoming projects are you most excited about?

We are excited about the partnership they have to bring middle school to girls and boys in remote villages. This will give children especially girls a schooling opportunity they have never had.

Why should others become involved with Shining Light?

By giving to the Ray of Hope Club we have an opportunity to help children who might never have the opportunity get an education. What a great joy to give the gift that never quits giving; the gift of learning.
